One of the primary purposes of design is to create something to improve the quality of life. This could be with respect to animals, plants, the environment or people. In this aspect headphones often have wasteful packaging that cannot be reused. Good design should be design that has purpose and meaning. Its role in society is to balance the essential needs and aesthetic wants of the end-user. The philosophy of design doesn’t just involve aesthetics, but function as well. It is needed in order to help enhance user experience and promote a better way of life.
